SEAMUS O'KANE
SEAMUS O'KANE est le plus célèbre des fabriquants de tambourins traditionnels irlandais appelés "bodhrán". Il s'intéresse à cet instrument dans les années 1960 et continue d'influencer le monde musical. Son style de battement haut de gamme a été copié par les joueurs les plus importants du monde, tandis que ses tambours sont joués dans le monde entier...y compris par les célèbres musiciens du "Riverdance" !
SEAMUS O'KANE ist der bekannteste Hersteller der traditionellen irischen Rahmentrommel, des "Bodhran". Er begann sich in den Sechzigerjahren für dieses Instrument zu interessieren und hat seit dieser Zeit das Design und auch die Spielweise des Instruments wesentlich weiterentwickelt. Sein eigener Trommelstil, der "Top End Style" wurde von vielen der besten Bodhranspieler kopiert und seine Bodhrans werden weltweit gespielt - nicht zuletzt von den Musikern in "Riverdance".
SEAMUS O'KANE is the acknowledged leader of the revival of the tradtional Irish drum called the "bodhran". Seamus became interested in the instrument in the 1960's and since that time has lead the world in design and playing innovations for this instrument. His "top end" style of drumming has been copied by most of the foremost players in the world today and his drums are played the world over including by the musicians in the world famous "Riverdance".
